The Interest of the Tyrant

Aristotle said, "It is also in the interest of the tyrant to make his subjects poor... the people are so occupied with their daily tasks that they have no time for plotting."

I say, "It is also in the interests of the tyrant to prevent his subjects from becoming self-sufficient. The people are too afraid to disobey the tyrant as their welfare depends on him."
