Enlightenment

读万卷书，不如行万里路；
行万里路，不如阅人无数；
阅人无数，不如名师指路；
名师指路，不如贵人相助；
贵人相助，不如自己去悟；
自己不悟，神仙也难救。

Reading thousands of books is not as good as traveling thousands of miles;

Traveling thousands of miles is not as good as meeting countless people;

Meeting countless people is not as good as being guided by a great teacher;

Being guided by a great teacher is not as good as receiving help from benefactors;

Receiving help from benefactors is not as good as achieving self-enlightenment;

Without self-enlightenment, even immortals cannot save.
